I like Ali Haider's music but they also should get Yatagaan(Fakhr e Alam) and Abrar ul Haq.
Abrar ul Haq should write a song called Billo on Internet. That be funny.

Okay folks!
Just got back from Buffalo where Ali Haider and the gang performed . . .

All I can say is they are absolutely amazing! Since I have known Ali personally for some time now I knew that he would be great. . but tonight I got to see Najam Sheraz and Schehzad Mughul and Aamir Zaki in action too. . WOW!

We have some amazing talent in Pakistan! Aamir's antics with the guitar. .electric and acoustic are just breathtaking. . .

Ali's remix of Puraani Jeans is upbeat and catchy while his Sayyon Nee Mera Mahi just demands that you get up and dance. .

Najam's music has not just melody and harmony but a message too . . .

I can't wait till next week when they are all to be here. .. and funny thing is . . .they are just as anxious to come to Toronto as we are to recieve them . .

Hope everyone has their ticket now 'cause it looks like pretty much a sell out show very soon . . .

The Mahi tour happened in Dallas a couple of weeks back and I must say, it was dissapointing. The show time was 6:30 pm and the band shows up around 9:00 pm and the show started at around 9:25 pm on a Sunday night. Starting a concert late is a typical Pakistani thing to do. The show was 1.5 hrs long and there were some songs that were good. I would not spend my money to see these guys again.

Dear zman-

We had the same experience. When Ali Haider & Co. visited LA last time, it was a freaking flop show and the performance was lousy.

I think now they have rightly opted to go to smaller cities and towns.

You're right ts. The Ali Haider days are over. We have a lot of Desi talent in the US that is comparable or even better than Ali Haider and Co. BTW, you live in the LA area, have you heard of Hanif Motiwala(I dunno his group name)? He is pretty good.
