Till early 1980's Pakistani film industry produced good movies with melodious music. Pakistani musicians like Khwaja Khurshid Anwar, Rasheed Atre, Nisar Bazmi, Amjad Bobby, Robin Gosh produced marvelous melodies which were then appreciated by masses and are still afresh in our memories today.

During 1980s, Gandasa culture and Gujjar related loud action movies, changed the scenario which declined the production of good music that eventually resulted disaster of Pakistan film Industry as music in South Asian movies is one of the biggest factors behind the publicity and success of a movie.

After gap of a decade Syed Noor's movie Jeeva's songs 'Janu Sun Zara' & 'Chhole Agar tujh ko hawa' and Javed Shaikh's Mushkil's 'Dil Hogaya hai tera Deevana', helped reviving Pakistani film music and movies. Good compositions by Robin Gosh, Amjad Bobby and others for movies like 'Sangam', 'Dupatta Jal Raha hai', 'Ghoonghat','Chor Machae Shor', 'Mushkil', 'Nikah' and many more gives hundreds of melodious songs to Pakistan film Industry.

Through this thread lets share our favourite Pakistani film songs to give a tribute to our Pakistani film Industry.

^ Yes, I remember the song was just released before Ramadan (through PTV program Lollywood Top Ten) and inspite of not airing the song through any Radio / TV channel (due to Ramadan), the song remained in memory of viewers and it was on top of the charts after eid.

All other songs of Ghoonghat (composed by Amjad Bobby RIP & Robin Gosh) were hit.

Arshad Mehmood's song 'Ho sake to mera ek kaam karo' for Syed Noor's movie 'Dupatta Jal raha hai' remained on top of the music charts for several months. A few people know that it was highly inspired (music and lyrics) from a famous Sindhi folk song sung by Ustad Barkat Ali.
