The halal food returants aren't really good, food is basii/old most of the times. Just go on walt disney website and it will give you plenty of info on all the different theme parks.

i have a timeshare property, so i always stayed at one of the resorts. they have a fully equipped kitchen, and there are lots of supermarkets nearby as well as some halal grocery stores. there are some desi halal restos, but i wasn't too sure of them, plus i didn't like the food that much... and since i enjoy cooking anyway, i usually cooked at the resort. btw international drive has a lot of nice restos.

u can get disney info from lots of websites.. personally i feel if u have young kids, then magic kingdom, mgm studios and animal kingdom would be best. if they're pre-teen, then epcot and universal studios is fantastic for kids and adults alike.

off disney, gatorland is a great outing. then there's boating at bogey creek or somet... this is more for nature lovers. there are other things to do on international drive, there's wonder works, and ripley's believe it or not... again that's better for older kids.

pm me if u need more info... i can probably help u with reservations at a resort if u're interested.

Please to go zabiha dot com & search for Orlando, Florida.

This website lists some zabiha halaal restaurants (I am not allowed to post URLs on this forum!?!) Those on whisper lake blvd, orange blosson trail & turkey lake rd are very close to Disney. Golden Dynasty is desi-style Chinese; Apna is very hot Pakistani; Ahmed, Memories of India, and Punjabi Indian are also good but I haven't been there in a while. Hope you have a good time in Florida!

Trip to orlando can be fuunnnn..

I was there with my whole family in 2004. Booked a very good package online... I think it was travelocity...

The package included car rental, tickets/passes to two them parks, wyndham resort and the air ticket to and from orlando.

The weather was great and food....hmm... it can be expensive...there are a few pakistani and indian resturants but were quite expensive....and they were on this road ..i forgot the name....very near the water theme park....

well...what we did was ...made sure that there was a kitchenette..where were staying. i later realized it did not have a stove...so bought one from walmart.. and everything went fine...it was really small so we took it back with us.

just be creative and you can make some good meals...maybe avoid meat in that week... and eat fish and vegs...

you must see the seaworld.....(i tried the san antonio one also....orlando was even better).

For kids magic kingdom would be great....for elders it can be boring (atleast for me it was)

and yes....do remember that if you are going for 4-5 days, it can be hectic . one day is barely enough to see one park completely..

don't forget the fireworks at the night.....i missed them because i used to soooooo tired by 6:00.

    so plan well and enjoy..

May you have a nice trip.
