I'm curious to know how often everyone here or people out there in general travel.

I seem to be surrounded by people that travel a lot (even the ones that have kids) and I just wanted to know how often most people travel. When I say travel I mean like travel for leisure, like taking a vacation somewhere. Not for business or to see family.

How often do you travel (purely for recreational/pleasure purposes) in a year?

What is the length of the trip? 7 days? Two weeks?

Where do you go? Are they more local trips like a weekend trip to Niagara falls or further and more exotic like the Carribean?

For those that have kids, do you travel less frequently now or more now that you have kids? Do you travel with or without the kids?

I just came back from my honeymoon and it was amazing. I'm actually going through withdrawal these days and I am aching to go somewhere again. I wish to be traveling every 2 months (although unrealistic) but I am convinced there are others out there that probably travel somewhere every month or every two months. Am I right, or just living a fantasy? *sigh*

Congrats on getting married where did you go for your honeymoon?

I think almost EVERYONE would love to travel every few months but unless you are very rich or have a job that involves travelling, then its not realistic, mainly cos of expenses and time issues, plus if you or you partner work, or if you have kids, sometimes it just not practical.

Perhaps one day or weekend breaks around whichever country you live is more realistic?

Myself personally, i have parents that dont take holidays, dont see the need for them, so me and my sisters are not well travelled at all! but we have a 'shok' , an interest for travelling, just dont have enough money at the moment lol. last place we went was Dublin for an overnight stay, then back home. before that we went to Scotland, by before i mean 8 years lolllz. next stop, paris! lolz.

      xx

People take holidays in between when theyre worked out, otherwise proper family holidays may be one or twice a year.
