You can also find nice guest houses close to the mall, like Pindi Point, for around 5K per night.

PC Bhurban seemed overrated to me....they were gonna charge us $14,000 rupees per night, i thought it was ridiculouse...yukk...we stayed in Punjab huts which were decent...not great but not bad either for the price...only issue was warm water, had to keep asking guy to run the motor...etc....just a hassle.

I stayed in hotel Faran and loved it, probably one of the best views if you ask them for a room in top floor. It's right at the top, price is pretty reasonable and their food was the best.

I stayed at Lasani, wasn't good. Went around the mall road to see many hotels, all were below average.

Yes it was on mall road, it's 3 star and it was rs 3000 per night but we went there in April and it's considered off season so it might be a bit more expensive now. There room service was excellent and room was pretty huge and very clean. It was as good as the room we had in PC Bhurban.
We didn't like the first room they showed us so we ended up getting VIP family room and it was the best thing we did
I am surprised that they do have a nice website as well, looking at the picture gallery brought a LOT of good memories of my honeymoon. :-)
