I'm traveling to Lahore and looking for a cheap hotel/guest house to stay until i find a decent apartment to rent.
The cheapest one i can search online is for over USD200/night, which is way too expensive.
Anyone from lahore can tell me about a cheap but decent hotel or
guest house, or is there any local website for hotel booking??
Thanks in advance!

No problem. You can get it less than 25 $ for a good room without food. I can give you the contact . Which area do you like ?

You'll be ripped off if you search online ..if you have someone there ask them to look in the local newspaper or check with an agent.. I think cos in Pak people know that if you are searching online you must be coming from abroad and thus prices hike. There are MUCH better options in newspaper...check the e-version of local newspapers like jang, express etc..they have the classified section as well.

I was told that DHA is relatively decent and safer area for a female to live, i'll be looking for an apartment in that area. Any hotel or guest house around that area?

parkway hotel near the railway station is good. its about 1000rs per night for an a/c room - bargain harder you might get it cheaper. it is not a luxury hotel but still worth it!

I am from Lahore but not living there at the moment...We rented a house short-term few months backs so I have some idea..I'll see if still have ph.numbers of the estate agents I went to and will get back to you.
Meanwhile check this one..I know it's a bot over your budget, but looks decent.

and this one is cheaper 500 to 1000, though I have no idea about it's quality etc.

I don't know about Defence but I normally stay in Gulberg when I am there and you can find many decent hotels there.
