Almost all airlines from gulf are nice.
Like Emirates, Etihad, Gulf Air, Qatar Air.
The only difference now is if they offer you transit or atleast hotel stay when you have connection flight. For that Emirates is having really nice procedure.

I agree with the other 3. Probably the 3 best airlines in the world, certainly the 3 best I have traveled on. But Gulf Air? Are you serious?
I have traveled on more than 20 airlines in my life (including very cheap low-fare carriers like Ryanair and Skyeurope) and I can say without the slightest doubt in my mind: Gulf Air is the worst airline I've ever traveled on. I would not even board a Gulf Air plane if they'd pay me money to do that.

The food on Emirates is mostly very good. Certainly better than on most other airlines in the world. I can only remember one flight where the food on Emirates was not really as good as I would have expected. Other than that: No complaints.

Gulfair is probably the worst airline, I have encountered as well.. Though Gulfair used to be good in the past, but in recent years, they have become the worst some how...
About Emirates, Etihad, and Qatar, they are the best airlines of the Middle East for sure.
.. My very recent experience with Cathay Pacific was excellent, I finally got to know the reason by Cathay Pacific is the best in the air... Cathay Pacific new economy coach seats have eliminated the problem of seat recline.. they are really brilliant,,, now when a passenger reclines his seat, then it does NOT bend back wards hence effecting the passenger at your back. ... but instead the seat actually slides forward in your own space.... So every passenger actually moves around in his/her own space....
I would recommend to have a look at this link..

I went to Pakistan on 31st using Emirates and came back yesterday night using AirBlue. Emirates was first class while AirBlue was normal economy as I came back in an emergency, earlier than expected. Frankly speaking I enjoyed more on AirBlue than Emirates.

i concur that gulf air is the worst airline i have ever travelled on...i had the misfortune of flying with them twice in my life and both experiences were equally as bad...i think out of emirates, etihad and qatar, emirates probably has the most reasonable fares...all 3 are top class carriers... if you want to stopover in Dubai then emirates is the best way to go...the food is good, but most people don't really fly for the food, its basically the same on all airlines, even gulf had good food...its the service you are after..

We travelled with Emirates from ISL to ORD 2 years ago and i must say i was impressed with the service and the staff. This year we are travelling with Etihad and i am hoping this trip goes smoothly as well since we have a baby this time.

i must be the only one to have had a bad experience with emirates!
me and my husband travelled to pakistan earlier in the year via emirates, there was a stopover in dubai too.
on the day of our flight, i rang in the morning to check the flight time was still the flight time lol, but was told it had been delayed by about 2 hours.
Khair, not a big problem, we got to the airport a bit later but not too bad. Flight to dubai was fine, had a few hours wait till the flight to pakistan.
Got on the plane, and after about half an hour, the pilot announces due to bad weather, the plane wont be going anywhere and he has no idea when we'll be moving. ok, no problem, we'll wait obviously, cant do anything else.
Over FOUR hours later, and we are still in the plane and by now people are very restless, tired and fed up. over the four hours a couple of more announcements are made that weather is still bad etc etc.
Anyway so after four hours, people start complaining to the plane hosts and hostesses. i felt so sorry for them, cos it wasnt their fault obviously but they had to bear the brunt of peoples anger. anyway so several men start making a racket, and shortly after the pilot announces all planes were halted and are now starting to take off and we are ninteenth in the queue. people complain again. after about ten minutes we're third in the queue, and then finally, we take off. we took off within about half an hour of people complaining, which made us think, if we hadnt complained, how much longer would they have kept us there.
So we arrive very late in pakistan very tired.
Now the return journey back home lol. Islamabad airport, our plane is delayed by 2 hours and our flight from dubai to birmingham is not happening. instead everyone going to birmingham from dubai, will be transferred onto a plane that will take us to manchester instead. we arrive in manchester, and there a small coach was arranged to take birmingham passnegers to said city.
As you can imagine, all these problems didnt leave us with a good impression of emirates, and caused us a lot of hassle, cos we had to keep ringing people to say we're gonna be late, plane will be here this time and we're going to be late, plane is gonna take us manchester and so on.
However, the one good thing i will comment on is that the service within the plane and the food was all good. especially the hosts and hostesses, they were all super polite and sweet and thats how it should be .
Ive also heard of other stories by the way of people travelling by emirates and their plane beig delayed. i dont know, maybe it all depends on where you fly from, cos these stories are all from people from england lol. anyway, hope you'l have a safe and comfortable and happy trip, cos although we had a bad experience, i would still be willing to fly emirates again .
The past cannot be changed, the future is still in your power

I went to Pakistan from Dallas using Emirates and the quality of the aircraft and service was superb. I left on July 28th and I just came back last week actually. So this is a very recent experience.
The flight out of Houston to Dubai was about 16 hours. The flight coming back from Dubai to JFK NY was about 13 hours and it was also very nice. No complains. I have done similar trips using many other airlines and none comes close.
