Planning to visit some different major cities of Pakistan soon, like Kashmir, Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore and Karachi. Havent been to Pakistan in over 10 years. Do I need to get any vaccines before going, if yes, which ones??
Thanks

well thats a good question... I dont think you require any other special vaccines for Pakistan, if you were properly immunized before.. however.. make sure you buy mosquito repellents and Tylenol/Panadol/Paracetamol and lot of Lozenges like strepsils of halls

Thanks
All my routine vaccinations are up-to-date (like the usual MMR, DPT etc). Plus I went for Hajj 3 years ago and got some vaccines then, I forget which ones. I know one was Meningitus and perhaps one was Hep B, but not sure about that.
I was thinking perhaps I also need Hep A or thyphoid??
What about malaria, is it malaria season, should I start taking malaria tablets before going?

Yes, you do need vaccines for pakistan, but i didn't get one and i'm doing fine with all the
mosquito bites.

Cooolbreeze is right, buy lots of mosquito repellents and pain killers + lot of Lozenges,
and don't forget to buy balms and stuff to apply on mosquito bites cause i've realized mosquitos here are quite tough, the soothing scent of my repellents doesn't really bother them.

Sleepy

Hep vaccinations (twinrix), malaria, and get TB if you haven't so far. Others just ask your family physician for his/her recommendation
