Who remembers reading (or being made to read) these short stories back in high school?
Malgudi Days by R.K. Narayan was a text book for my english literature class in class 10 but this was one text book i had finished reading before the term even started. A collection of short stories of simpler, more innocent times. A time when change was unheard of, and how simple minds reacted to inevitable change (british india). The daily conversations of townsfolk and villagers, and their petty everyday problems which due to lack of education and common sense inevitably became a huge task everytime.
Didn't realize those stories were actually made into movies.

When you talk bad about someone behind their back, things that are not true, thats called slander and you're definitely going to hell for that. But when you talk bad about someone behind their back, things that are true, thats called backbiting (gheebat). And you're going to hell for that too.
