^^ actually its OLD song and it was also sung by a Pakistani singer then Maddan madi sang it and then a lot of other singers.

well if u ask me...i think the bollywood version is alot better than the other 2 posted in this thread. So i think they did justice to the song. The other 2 version r abit too dull for my taste.

Is it the same Naseebo Lal against whom a case was registered for singing "vulgar songs" ?

I believe Pritam (the composer for Love Aaj Kal) has acknowledged that the song was inspired from Naseebo Lal's song...

A majority of today's popular punjabi music including UK Bhangra is all remakes of gems from our folk music past.

A similar parallel is evident with popular rap, hip hop and R&B where almost every song you hear on the charts today is be a spin off an original from the 70s.

obviously because once you know which tune and which lyrics to start the song from, anyone can make it sound better than the original.

i heard this version years ago n really liked it but its good 2 know that it was originally sung by shoukat ali ...he was no doubt great singer.....but i dont like it in that lady voice
