^ Sabah: u did the mehndi on your sister ??
lifeless: i would share a pic of the 200$ mehndi, but unfortunately they're at home and i'm away :~)
sara516: that's exactly how my reaction was AFTER i got it done :bash: okay so the story was that the state i was living in didn't have a big population of desis there, so therefore not many desi salons in the area; and the one that seemed decent enuff was 4 hrs away and charged soo much basically got ripped off I wish i had done more research on my end cuz later found out that there were more salons in the area that actually did a lot better of a job (including Makeup) than the one i went to....just thinking about it makes me but then i got to make it alll up on my valima in pak so I'm happy.

Pyaari: thanxx.... I love them too
1)the blue Topaz ring I got here in US...(fell in love with it at first sight it happened to go soo well with the outfit. 2)The one next to it is part of a gold jewelry set from Pk.
3)The one in the wedding finger is my platinum diamond engagement ring and wedding band. (from hubby (US) 4)And the one next to it is part of the gold set worn with the outfit (it was sprayed/polished to match the outfit but slight differed.

errrm no offence to you paki princess but i dont think theres anything "illegal" or wrong with seeing a design you like and doing it for your family and friends for eids etc.
soo im a bit confused to why your over reacting, we all share mehndi patterns on here and obviously people will copy the ones they like for themsleves...

All patterns are really pretty...with so many great designs, it gets hard to choose which ones I will want for my wedding.

Unbelievable! Sabah i luve ur mendi designs!
And Carebear those designs are also really beautiful. Iluv them all!
I have a problem, whenever i make mehndi designs above the hands the colour gets very light. I wonder why? I want it to be dark.

Hmm.. Im probably in the minority here but I went all out with the mehndi for my wedding. I love mehndi and figured I could get elaborate with it on my shaadi. I liked having the mehndi pattern show over the chooriyan.
But in terms of patterns, hope this is helpful as an example.
