the outfits of the girls, guys and obviously the bride and groom... appropriate music... lots of antique-y silver decor... mirrors... churiyan... actually my bff made these gorgeous silk pouches with drawstrings and gave everyone a packet of bindis (she's indian), plus chorriyan and a little handheld round mirror studded with beads as her mehendi favors. very nice idea.

Mughal Theme...

lots of peacock feather fans
plaster columns to simulate the "baara dari" (i.e. court)
gol takiyay on persian carpets
hire a couple of mujra dancers (depending on your budget)
serve food in silver trays and drinks in goblets
etc., etc.

how abt Village theme? having new nice charpai, with gharay allover (can be with holes n slits n keep glowing bulb inside), some lamps n metallic antique candle stands, n golden/silver chaan haging on wall, n big pieces of round mirrors etc, diyas, can also create short mud walls like to decorate things on it.

If you had a themed Mehndi, which theme would it be?

* Mughal Theme
* Arabian/Moroccan Theme
* Ajrak Theme
* Bandhani/Chunri Theme
* Jamavar Theme

Or

Would you prefer just a unique combination of colours? Please specify which ones.
