Thats very true! One of my friends had her make up done by Ather Shezad in Lahore and she said for the foundation base he used a foundation stick and a totally damp sponge. I tried it on myself once with a mac foundation stick and wet sponge and it looked horrendously caked on-i neva did that again!

For MAC foundation do not use the wet sponge as the stick foundation is heavy, so use the foundation brush apply over the face than you can also blend them over with you hands, as wet sponge will not absorb the foundation properly because of the heaviness.

I went for a MAC makeover trial today and had the girl do half my face like she normally would and then half the face with a wet sponge. What really surprised both of us was that in indoor light, the normal coverage looked better than the wet sponged one. In sunlight, they both looked the same. In the end, i opted for the normal way of applying with a makeup brush.

From what i can see it says Kryolan on the box.
U can get that in London..or u can get it over the internet. Like i said i tried it with the MAC stick and wet sponge and it was way too caked. I washed it off and started again without the wet sponge and it was much better. I think in pakistan the make up is much heavier mayb cos of the climate and stuff.

If you're using a stick foundation, do not use wet spongs as it tends to her heaiver, just apply them with a fooundation brush and blend them over with your hands or dry spongs even out the foundation.

mirzajamila.....u can get the sticks on every make up stand in pakistan they cost 400 rps....
and i always use a almost wet sponge always....ab to aadat si hogayi haiiwet sponge gii also when i use other foundations
shylaydee1....kryolan is the company name and the foundaton is called tv stick.....in karashi they have a shop at tariq road in some galii

I have used MAC foundation - I really find that it is very overrated! I love their eyeshadows - you cant get better in my opinion! So is there anywhere else in Karachi where you can get this foundation - ie in Clifton/Defence? We usually do a lot of shopping from Gulf, Uzma and Ashiyana Plaza. Which eyeshadows do they use in pakistani salons on brides? they are sooo viberate, dont get that finish with eyeshadows sold in UK - not even with MAC!

Regardless of whatever brand are used on the bridal, only the photographer will be able to make the pic look fawless, as the know the trick how to do them, that's why sometime when one take the pic with own camera rather than the professional, you can see the difference,
Anyway these day most people uses MAC & SEPHORA.

Any heavy foundation should not be used on a daily baisis, as when you used it, it kinda block the air to pass through your face that's the reason it shouldn't be used on daily basis, fopr everyday use maybe a liquid foundation (that's to very little but blended properly) plus a touch of loose powder.
