Hi can someone please help? When the nikha is being done the bride covers her head and i have seen when some times the brides face is partially covered, the scarf is draped in front of her face. How does this work? Do you need to get another matching scarf to your outfit? But then u take it off after the nika n put it on when crying at the end so people cant see you crying. Does any1 know what the little matching scarf is called and do you have any pics. Thankyou.

Get a net or sheer fabric veil and use it on top of the dupatta for the nikah and rukhsati time.

Are you talking abt the duputta used to cover the bride during the nikaah and rukhsati? because as far as I know, just any nicely deocrated shawl or duputta even will do.
For the wedding I'd used my moms shawl to cover up to and fro the hall and I planned on using it for the nikaah but we couldn't find it. So we just used any duputta....

Yes get something that matches your outfit, you can buy it separatly either gold organza or in my case deep red/maroon to match mine, if you are really good you can get a boarder on the edge that matches your outfit's kam

gold organza is very commonly used... or a matching colour to your outfit.

not like cover as in HIde ur face.. just like another sheer dupatta/shawl that hangs lower.. just a traditional thing! depends on when ur nikah's being done. if it's happening on ur shadi day.. as in rite before the rukhsati then i guess u just do it normal!
