i just got my mehndi outfit made in pakistan, i love it! alhamdulilah its come out better than i imagined..i designed it myself and got it made... my main colour is green, with pink, orange and yellow in the kaam, thread (around the mirrors) and i got the dubatta dyed green yellow and pink with a border of mirrors (with different colour threads) going all the way around :-) ...it sounds like a mess lol but its really pretty looking (hope it luks nice on the day)
gharare are reli in at the moment but so are anarkali dresses (i cudnt get that made bcos i didnt find any out there that i liked) but i say if u have the time, design one and get it made or if youd rather just buy one then go to one of the boutiques in lahore they have simple elegant designs which look gorjus..depends wot ur looking for

. i already wore an anarkali dress for my engagement, so i want something different
. i reallllly want a gharara, but am debating whether to get one for the mehndi or valima!! do you have pictures of your outfit or where you got the design from?

^ get one for each! gharara's are soooo graceful.

I love the colors/fabrics...but I would make the outfit differently:
- Turn the shalvar into a lehenga or a gharara
- Cap sleeves instead of 3/4
- Open up the neckline a lot more
- Make the shirt more fitted
- Get rid of a lot of the embroidery on the front...just keep the piping and the border with the crystal embroidery (just repeat the design from the sleeve cuffs at the gala)

The grass ain't always greener on the other side, it's green where you water it.
