Saima..i think it depends what you are going for...do you want the white-face-loud color-on eyes look?...or the more normal looking one...personally..i dont like it when people match their dresses with their makeup..It should NEVER match..thats a big fashion no-no..a bride should look fresh..and beautiful...not colorful! :-) (my opinion) when you are making consultation phone calls...do talk to Arsh at Newlook..she is soooo friendly..i absolutely loved her..

Saima gee.. well i had heard that for pre wedding services (like facial, eye brows), you should alwasy go to your regular parlour to get a personalized service. i didnt take the complete package from Madeehas. Went only for the bridal make over. For mehndi, facial, eye brows, waxing, mani-pedi cure i went to the parlour which i had been going since long. When i got married, Madeehas complete package was almost Rs 30,000 excluding Henna. But i chose Rs 13k or 12 k only for the make over.

Dear AishaK,
I have now decided to make the booking at Alle Nora. My sister says even if Annie does not listen to what you are saying she is doing a marvellous job. We had someone in the family who got ready from madeehas, but was not looking that good. Dont know whether madeeha did her makeup herself or some assistants. And I have heard from and even seen the work from Alle nora and I just adore their photosession. So I will visit Alle Nora now, but if the end result is diappointing, I will let you know so that you do not repeat my mistake and can go to a parlour which is worth paying.

My wedding dress was copied from a dress on the website of bargello. Even bargello does copy designer clothes. My sister wanted to order this dress from bargello and gave them a call, but they said that the price may vary from the website and then she got to know that even bargello does copy designer clothes. its a lovely dress. I am not allowed to attach files, otherwise I would have shown you. I think it´s the one with red and black combination (gharara). My sister has already paid a huge amount on that (by the way my sister is becoming my jheetani
She says that I have to put on some weight, since it´s very heavy because of the real stone work, and even the dopatta is damn heavy. That´s why I wanted to have a small talk with Annie prior to wedding day to discuss everything with her. But I will leave this to her now.

Thanks for your suggestions. I will also visit a parlour next to our house for pre bridal service. I think many parlours can offer these services.

I will talk to Arsh and will consider New look too. Lets see how the deal with customers, Alle Nora is not a friendly parlour, That´s for sure.

saima..whenever your sis gets the booking done by annie, (if you choose her signature makeup of 30000rs) ask you sis to tell annie that you want to have a meeting with herbefore your big day after you come to pakistan..and you too go to the salon prior to your day and ask them if you can meet her and discuss your make over.. try karnay may kya harj hai kya pata woh mil jaye aur aapki aur tasalli ho jaye

Saima gee, i wish you best of luck for your wedding. I can understand the stress level becasue me myself reached pakistan only 10 days before my wedding. My sisters had taken care of all the stuff. till the last moment, you have something to buy. do post your wedding pics.

Well I am coming back to Pakistan after spending 17 years in Germany. That was my biggest wish and I always wanted to come back, but honestly speaking it´s very difficult now. I will miss everything which was part of life in Germany. Moreover the situation in pakistan is getting worse day by day, and people here will be shocked if I tell them, that I am going back to pakistan, when news from lal masjid and terrorist attacks make headlines.

But I will leave this to Allah now.May he guide me and give me strength, ameen.

Baaki lahore main aur bhi bohat se kaam karne wale hain. I am getting married in November and have decided to do the booking at Alle Nora in lahore. The Owner of Alle Nora is Annie who is very famous and very good in her field. Once my cousin had her makeup done by Annie and she was looking like a fairy, very beautiful masha Allah.
I will recommend Alle Nora, I have also heard that madeehas in Lahore is also a good choice and very well known. All the best for your wedding and make sure that you do your booking before the raise the price from September on.

For photosession i have heard that Shahnawaz is greattt. I have visited his website and saw awesome pictures. He is very expensive although but if your budget allows then he will be the best choice for sure.

Yes I will book Alle Nora for sure and will also book them for photosession. I have seen their photosession which is very satisfying. Shahnawaz is good too but first of all quite expensive and secondly I would not have that much time, since the wedding is not going to take place in Lahore. The website you gave pointed out is also very good. Jewellry ka mujhe nahin pata, sis ne lahore main designer jewellry li hai. Should I ask her the name of the shops? Baaki karachi se bhi li hai. Yaar jewellry ka to mujhe khud nahin pata kesi hai. Meri shadi ke baad aap ke paas still kaafi time hoga, so tab tak mere paas saari infos hungi, to i will update you.
