Hi all!!
I am from London, UK and inshallah will be getting married in Pakistan, Faisalabad in Oct/Nov 2008. I've already had my nikkah so it will be mehndi, ruksati and walima!
My husband is from Okara so thats where the walima will be.
My sister got married last year so i've got wicked photography/video person, and make-up person.
My sister got married in Dynasty hotel in Faisalabad which is nice and food is excellent but i want something different for mine. Serena's food isn't good so thats out of the question. Chenab club has a massive hall but my sister said the surroundings not that nice. My cousin is a member of the club so that could be an option but not sure.
I will be doing all my clothes shopping from lahore and okara. Anyone who gets a chance should go to Okara for shopping, clothes are so cheap there. My sister got her lengha made from there for only 30,000 and its gorgeous. I will post pics when i can.
- When i went there i saw some hotel\halls near a canal but i don't know what they are called? Does anyone know?
- Also i want to know good car hires, cars like mercedes, bmw, or lexus?
Any help appreciated! If i can help anyone please ask.!
Thanks
R

Hey!!
This is weird I live in the UK too..in Bristol and am getting married in Faisalabad at the end of this year!
I think the hotel ur on about is the Usmania its by the river and its huge its a brown glass building..my cousin had his wedding there its really nice but the floor is ridiculously slippery!!!
My sister got married in 2005 at dynasty!..It was lovely but like you I want something different..
Its gonna be difficult finding nice cars like there to hire in FSD..BUT there are places that exist that offer those cars for weddings..ill try and get some contact details for you!!
Which make up artist do you use?..My sister used Moon Beauty or somethin and she was quite good, Ive heard depilex is good aswell.

Hi!!!
Its so good to know that someone from UK is going to Faisalabd to get married!! When are you going to Pakistan? I'm going after Eid and wedding will be in 0ct and i will stay there for 7 weeks!
My sister had hers in Dynasty so i want something different too!
Do you have pics of the hotel near the canal, i remember driving past there once when a wedding was going on and it looked nice but i haven;t seen the inside.
I didn't know there was a deplix in Faislabad. My sister got hers done from Nusrats - they are quite good.

Anarkali bazar is very good for bridal dresses.. my cousin got her nikkah dresss from there n was beautiful. i have posted her pics in "nikkah outfit" thread.
I thought Sarena was good.. i heard it from so many people.. as u have experencied it urself then its good not to go for it.
D-ground is another place where u can shop.. u'll find all the designer stuff there. Maria-B is there.. n others as well.

I've heard from relatives that the food at Serena is not good.
Especially now that there is a 1 dish rule i think the food should be good!!
I'm really upset about the 1 dish rule - is there no way around it??
