They might not be the "same" but I'd say equally good.
I had party makeup from them, and my sister in law had her bridal makeup from them. No complaints.

Mine was 5000 hers was 25000, b/c she had the owner do it. Later on soemone told me that at any big parlour, party makeup is supposed to be free/discounted if u get bridal makeup..but i hadn't known about that at the time. Oh well. Still not sure if that's true for allenora/mightys/madiha's etc. Btw, this was in August 2007, so prices may have changed since hten.

Her dress was orange net with bits of maroon velvet on the border of the shirt and sleeves and lengha..with golden/dabka kaam on it. Her eye makeup was actually gold and black with hints of pink and the lipstick a pale golden orange. from far away though, it gave her eyes a very heavily defined/lined look. so while the makeup was heavy on her eyes, the effect was more emphasis on the lips.

My outfit was red kameez with an apple green/violet/red dyed duputta with lots of kaam on it.. i went in eXpecting like really cool turqoise/colored eye makeup to go with the outfit (well that what i wanted ) but they ended up doing a coppery/rust colored smokey eye, with turqoise liner, and maroonish lipstick. and bronzish/coppery blush. They did alot of contouring, at my request. So the colors didn't eactly match with theoutfit but it was amazing nonetheless. I loved the makeup, in fact more than my wedding m/u.

I've never been to madiha's or nay other parlour (except depliex..stayaway!), but seriously if i had to choose any of em...id go to all of em !

MADIHAS are known for doing excellent make up for light shade bridal dresses, i.e. Pink, Mauve, Off white, light golden, light green. All the brides I have seen, who did their make up from Madihas looked REALLY good. But again they are good for make up with light color dresses.

New Look, I wont recommend. I had a friend who did her bridal make up from New Look (2-3months back) and it was really awful. The over all service was not good too. I heard the same from someone else too.

If you have the dress in Red, or Maroon, or even Magenta, try ALLE NOORA.. they are really really good in doing bridal make up for Dark shade dresses i.e. Red and Maroon etc. My both sisters got it done from them and their charges for Barat make up about 3yrs back were some Rs. 16K or 18k with Photoshot.

Result: Try ALLE NOORA for Barat day and MADIHAS for Waleema

^ you mean how was Madiha's make up/service? My 2-3 friends did their make up from Madihas and they were very happy with everything.

ALLE NOORA, i have personal experience as my both sisters got their make up done by them. They are excellent in make up and good in other services too. Like they provide you locker for your jewallary n other personal stuff, quick in doing make up too. My both sis were looking really nice. One of the sisters has got more sharp and beautiful features, n very light skinned she is, so they didnt made her look like a pastry. The MUA made her look more original and natural than an artificial wax doll.

I will suggest You better go and check out their packages. Like what we took for our sis was, the makeup, hair style, dress n jewallary setting and photshot (40-45 pics). The other things like bridal facial, wax, eyebrows, mehandi, even Nail Polish n other blah blah..they ll charge you for each separately. So you better get them done from some other place or ask them the charges and take a Complete Bridal package.

My cousin got her make-up done from madiha and it she looked really good. The day after my cousins wedding we went another wedding and the bride had her make-up done by Alle Noora, it was nice but I didn't like it as much.......my aunt owns a salon in lahore as well and she was saying that right now Madiha is known as having the best bridal make-up.....Alle Noora is after her.........so I guess you could chose either or. New look I've heard a lot about how their service isn't the friendliest......the funny thing is that the family that owns New look are really good family friends of mine. They were my neighbours for almost 10 years before they moved to Pakistan. So the aunty and her daughters are great with me.....i'm hoping that the bad rep is due to other staff (which still sucks).

Thanks a lot fairytale. I was thinking about going to Madihas for valima, and since I'm going with red on baraat, will check out Alle Noora. And yes thank you for the warning, I too have heard horrible stores about Depliex.
