Here are examples of wedding cakes with a DESI TWIST. One example that I think is cute is the stacked cushions example. Check them out:

I also think that contemporary and colorful wedding cakes can look REALLY CUTE!. The colorful wedding cakes look nice especially if bright festive decorations with bold colors (pinks, oranges, etc) are being used in the wedding. Examples:
