OK i am booking dupilex for the brida makeup..however it comes as a bridal packahe which incudes waxing etc and facials etc..

now i have senstive skin,. with acne marks...im getting peels done here before i go, but will this have an effect on what they may do for me....i dont wish to get facials done there, in case it reacts with my skin..but if they see me without makeup, knowing asian women, will `persuade you to get something done....saying how badly you need it...

should i go along with the package, or can i only ask for makeup done and tell them im getting peels done here etc...

anyone had any experience with dupilex bridal packages...hows the facials and treatments......my skins ultra sents, and acne prone..so please let me know.

also i hate pushy women who make you try all sorts of facials just to fill their pockets...so how do i resist them, cos theyl make you feel as if you need it..and a bride like me will ponder.....

Okay, really for backup please do. I dont know what diplex is like exactly but i went to a really good parlour in islamabad and they caked my face sooooo much i looked like a ghost. Im telling u nadz i wanted to cry! i was sooo imbarrased. It was okay if u looked at me from far FAR away but everyone who came on stage could see that the beautician had messed up my face with the wrong colour. Its not guaranteed that they have the right shade to compliment ur skin tone. When i go back to get married properly i am not relying on any of them this time. It was HELL!

dupilex is the best one in pakistan..they have branches all over pak. and il be damned if im paying nearly 250000 ruppees for the makeup to be my own.....so thye better get it right or il sue...

thanks for that actually, however `white paint` is what auntijis love...they wana see `gori` sitting on the stage...if the makeup artist dares match ur foundation to ur skin tone.....aunties will assume ` haI isne make hi nahi kiya`

yea i went to dupilex, tbh i didnt think their service was all that. I know theyve got lots of branches but dont expect there work to be as good as UK based beauticians even tho there 'the best'

No matter what you get done here, they'll tell you you need something else. If you don't want it from there, be firm. They can't force you.

I took mine, but the lady did not let me use them. She was right tho. I would've looked washed out on stage with my own base. Theirs was fine, and it did not look too white or artificial.

Devilish

dont go for any facial/skin polishing (either here or there, at their insistence) a week prior to ur wedding, in fact, dont try anything new at all for the last 2 weeks leading up.
and if ur going to go to a brand-name place like Depilex, i'd trust them when it comes to what kind of base to use for the same reasons Sahar said.

PS i dont know what city ur going to but depilex in lahore is not as great as the others...but im sure it's pretty good in cities other than ISL/Karachi

The services at Depilex Karachi are pretty great. Just tell them that you don't need the facial from the package and that you have ultra sensitive skin. They don't cake you up and don't let you use your own makeup. They do have a very nice acne facial. My sister has the same problem and went for the acne facial and her face was clear on the day of my brother's wedding. If you don't want any service of theirs, I think you can choose another one in its place or adjust the price. The package includes facial, threading, manicure, pedicure and body wax.

I had my engagement make-up from depilex, and had wonderful experience. it was not cakey...neither made me look horrible. Infact it was just right as it shud've been... I just hope the make-up artist is still there on my wedding! And hope i do get a good look on the wedding too

To be honest, the facials that they give you are generally the type of 'steam face, extraction, slap on a face mask' type facials (think the skin polishing ones involve bleach cream but you can easily refuse it ) which won't do any damage.

And as for taking your own foundation - I wouldn't bother for the same reasons that Sahar said.
