Instead of the ice sculpture, I'd suggest a chocolate fountain. My neighbours had one at their son's wedding, it was a really big hit with the guest and an really good ice-breaker (*no pun intended*) to start a conversation with other guests.

at least a cake or chocolate fountain or something similar is useful AND looks nice. ice sculpture other than looking nice seems pretty useless kinda like megan fox.

ice sculptures aren't totally redundant... you can get one made as a drink luge, where the drinks are poured through the ice at the top and the glass is filled at the bottom... i went to a desi wedding about a year ago where they had a whole bar made out of ice like this...

Shay, in the UK when you hire a chocolate fountain, its supplied with two attendants who dip the fruit into the chocolates for you on the skewers - so maybe you could look into hiring attendants to avoid people dipping their fingers in there?/? (because the chocolate seriously is yummy).

Sounds cute! They look nice near the colorful appetizers; saw that at a New Years Ball once

We had ice sculptures at both the mehndi and the baraat. I loved the ones on the mehndi but the baraat ones were omg so horrible

I like this one though, an ice sculpture stand:

You can even do a cupcake tower on it... love cupcakes!

I'm better than you and you know it. P.S. I purposely made this bright to annoy you.

haha they dont melt super fast.

my mehndi was outdoors in August in khi. They were up for atleast 5-6 hours, pretty much the entire time the guests were there.

One of the "new" things I came across were centerpieces made out of ice rather than having a single huge sculpture. The tricky part is to make sure the water that is draining into the hidden tray does not overflow. Custom trays have to be made for each table with this design. Then ice columns can be made a lot of different ways and sizes. Couple them up with ice chiavari chairs and enjoy a truly a spectacular ice table!
