My Khala wore a sari when she was 8 months pregnant. Looked fine and you couldn't see and skin around the tummy.

Hi everyone,
My soon to be sister-in-law is pregnant and by the time my wedding comes in March she will be about 7-8months pregnant.
She's excited about the baby of course but kinda upset about all the wedding planning we had done with regards to clothing and my mehandi we were planning certain outfits for the bridal party.
Are there any styles or store that have formal wear for pregnant women in Lahore? if not stores wht style would suit best for Pregnant women?
She really wanted to wear a Sari, and my mom had mentioned that she could if she wore it the new style with the sari draped at the front...sorry i hope you guess know what im talking about...lol.....
She is very petite to begin with so i dont think she will get to big during her pregnancy and may not even be noticeable if she wore a dupatta.
any sugguestions would be great!!
thanks

She can wear an anarkali and yes the sari is also fine.
But I've seen 2 pregnant bridesmaid and they both wore an anarkali.

I think a sari is a great option. I don't see any reason to wear the sari draped in front. Why not just wear it like normal? It's okay to have a bump. And the way a sari fits will actually flatter her new curves.
The anarkali/peshwaaz style CAN look nice if the fabric and fit is right; but I've seen pregnant women HATE the way they look in those too.

totally cute! Samar Mehdi Designer Wear - Positive – Designer Maternity Wear
so glad to see a desi designer out there who's thinking about pregnant ladies! there's not a lot of variety, but its a start and i'm sure she'd be open to customising something for your sil.

if she's conscious about her belly, she can choose a silk sari as opposed to something sheer- it'll give her enough coverage without being all poufy and fluffy too.

^ Yeah, silk sari will be better. I attended a wedding where the bride's cousin had to do the same thing and it looked very elegant. She had her hair out in soft curls and it looked wonderful.
