Goofy

Ok so you got married then what. What was the processing as i may call it. What happened when? how long was which rasam?

My friend got married 2 weeks ago. Her valima was the next day so this is what she told happened after the baraat. The rukhsati was at 1:30 a.m., then they went straight to the hotel where they had booked a room, then their close friends and cousins came & did a few teasing & rasams etc. They even had the dewar ghutna bandhayi type rasam (i dont know what it is called
) at the hotel. They left around 3:30 a.m., then they both took a few pictures together on their own. Then she started to change and it took another hour to take off all the pins, make up, clothes, hair stuff. Finally they changed into normal clothes and then u know umm ding dong . They slept around 5:30 a.m. The next morning was her valima day, they woke up around 10-11 a.m. and took a bath, got dressed into a little shimmery formal dress. Some cousins came over for nashta. Then they took them to her in-laws house where there were some more rasams. They had lunch at their in laws place. Later she left for the parlour and then from there for the valima and photo shoot. They stayed the night at her inlaws. The next day they stayed at her parents place. After a day, the Maklawa took place and later in the week a few dinners took place. Now they are on their honeymooon, Masha Allah.

What happened with you? What events? When?

That's ideal but not very suitable for out of statio guests since they cant take an off from work to attend a week's wedding.

I think it's best to have a gap in between.. so that you don't get overexhausted from your events because that just makes you not enjoy them as much as you should.. it's once in a lifetime thing anyway.
