I am sorry, PacMan, can't help you there. We have loads of announcements on GS regarding Mirpur weddings but no one seems to come back with vendor reviews. We even had a wedding planner near Kotli request but are still waiting for that person to get back to us. If you find out the info, please do post here,

My MIL was always going on about a certain bakery's cheesecake, when we went to Pak, the "cheesecake" she brought us was a sponge cake with a slab of thin cheese baked on top!!

As said earlier haven't found the pic or decided which cake to go for...
Marvi, i can ask for the Taj Mahal cake... And it also depends where you live, we once had a order from Islamabad and someone from ladki walay came to pick the cake..may be we can pm!

Pacman - LOL im also gonna go to mirpur in jan (prev suppose to go this nov)
to shop for my sis wedding shopping, i will defo chek sum cakes shop and will let you all know how i get on with all my shopping! when do u need the info for?
Mahismart - I have prev asked for info on mirpur shopping but like u said
no- one gets back to us about mirpur shopping/wedding : (

Wwwhat? A tasty cake is not a rare case in the world lol so i m confused, shocked by the topic title....But yah we do have great confectioneries so shouldnt be a prblem at all.

I have tasted many wedding cakes in Mirpur and they taste horrible! I guess only the cakes in Mirpur suck while other places in Pakistan make delicious ones.

Oh man, that would be great! I am going to Pakistan after February so I have time. I would apreciate it if you can share some info with us. I would really like to know which wedding hall you chose, places you shopped, etc. You are right, many people from mirpur never get back to us on these forums. I will pm you once I have enough post count. Do you mind if I pm you?
