we are having a cajun chicken dish or chicken cacciatore, fresh steaks that a chef will bbq for guests based on how they like it done, and a vegetarian/pasta option, plus accompanying dishes, like mashed potatoes, veggies, salads, rice etc. we're having a dessert table with 8 different kinds of tarts, pastries, flans, cheesecakes, fresh fruit etc. plus our wedding cake and coffee/tea. yum! i can't wait for our menu tasting!

sara, you are most welcome to come! and no, fbi, my wedding is august 5th IA. and since there are also some crazy people who post here, no, theres no open invitation to guppies! :P :P :P
since andrew is gora and half our guests will be gora too we didnt want to have a typical menu which we're gonna have on the mehendi anyway, since its a more traditional pakistani function. we're trying to please both cultures with wedding food - the cajun chicken is for people who want to have naan and rice, the steak is for everyone (who doesn't love steak??) and the veggie dish with the pasta is a nice third option. our caterers have said they'll make us fresh naan! mmmm..... i can't wait!

My hubs English but loves asian food and so did his guests so my parents sorted the food order out. From what i can remember we had:
Starters: Veg somosas, tandoori chicken and seekh kebabs
Mains: Meat Biriyani, chicken ka salan, meat korma, saag ghosht and sabsi for vegetarians and naans.
Dessert: Rasmalai, Gajjar ka halwa and wedding cake.
My wedding was nearly 4 yrs ago tho! These days there seems to b a huge selection of starters but ur so full up on those u cant eat the main.
SGC wow 8 different desserts! Sounds fab! If i lived in toronto i wud defo had gone to ur wedding
