What colors are yall wearing for each function?

I know girls generally wear green or yellow for the mehindi, and red for the Rukhsati? But times have changed. What color do brides wear for the waleema? Girls are wearing all sorts of colors. Which color you are wearing for each function?

I'm definitely going to do Yellow for the Mehindi. I was gonna do tea pink for the barat and sea green for the waleema. But now im thining maybe I should keep it traditional and do Burgundy for the barat, and move the tea pink over to the valeema day?

Girls are doing all sorts of colours nowadays so you dont HAVE to do red for the barat. Having said that if red suits you its just such a gorgeous colour to wear especially that day!

This is what I'm wearing for the walima... I found it on here!

I feel like that too. I dont want to choose some bright and flashy color that is in at the moment... and look at it 20 years down the road... have my kids ask me what I was thinking lol...

Yup I'm having it made exactly like this although I was also considering it in white and ivory grey for the ribbon part... I might end up destroying it with my imagination though lol :S

Ok so I'm not going to any flashy designer for my outfits. I live in Islamabad and people charge double there for an items worth. The guy who made my mums bridal outfits (stunning maroon and champagne gold for the barat) also knows my dad so I'm getting it made from him in Rawalpindi!

That sounds like a very interesting match. I had originally chosen green but I changed it to the traditional yellow! I'd love to see the pics!

Yeah I agree. Going to a flashy designer is a waste of money. You are just paying for a label. OMG dont change the color of the ribbon leave it exactly like that. That dress is gorgeous. I will post pix of what I have in mind in a few.

Where in rawalpindi are you getting it made from?

    I have family there.
