Whats with the inferiority complex? Why are you Indians always comparing yourselves with Pakistan. You are like the ****ed up girlfriend we broke up with but always calls us to say how much better off she is. Like we give a rats ass.

Education degrees do not matter.

Mr.Hitler had not had so many achievenemts in his educational arena or later in his career arena but he is one of the greatest leaders who inspired masses.

No, because Zardari & Man Mohan Singh are both elected leaders, whereas Patil & Gilani are appointed ones

That would have been incredible funny but for the fave that Mr. Zardari carries the burden of aspiration of millions of Pakistanis on his shoulders.

Anyways, degrees really don't count as qualifications for the top post. The things that matter are insight, ability to connect with the masses and steadfast commitment to the people of the country.

I don't think Zardari was elected, was he?

Also technically the President of India is nominated but voted in by an electoral college. It is by law, possible to have a contested election but it has been a time honored practice to keep it unanimous.

But more importantly, if you are comparing qualificationsto be in power, it matters less how they acquired that power....just mu opinion.

But the objective the thread is achieved I thonk in that it is shocking to see how accomplished Mr.Singh is

PPP was elected to power and Zardari was the leader of PPP. He chose to become president instead of PM, but has more powers than PM. Similarly Congress was elected to power and Man Mohan had been declared as the leader of the Congress led govt even before the polls. He is more powerful than Patil.

Gilani was appointed by Zardari and Patil by Sonia/Man Mohan/Congress We all know how electoral college works Both Zardari & Man Mohan hold more power in their respective countries than Patil/Gilani.

But I agree with you that the objective of the thread has been achieved. Man Mohan Singh definitely has better educational credentials. I dont think the result would be any different even if he was compared to Gilani

It is a big deal, a very big deal that a well qualified and accomplished person is heading up a country. It not all that common - not just India or Pakistan but much of the world.

Well qualified people normally don't come to politics - why should they wish upon themselves and their families all that stress!

manmohan singh is more the exception than the norm for an indian leader. we have had uneducated dynasty rulers like indira gandhi and rajiv gandhi, and would probably get someone similar in another four years time.

Resume's usually are not the best comparison point for who is a good or bad leader.

Nope. Zardari is not an 'elected president' of Pakistani people. He was selected.

Get your facts straight. Read who voted for him to be the 'president'.

On the original post we have had a thread on it before.

I had said the 'Perhaps it takes so much under the belt for a Sikh to become a PM of India and prove his abilities.....(as opposed to a hindu to become a PM of India)

The comparison however is not fair at all.

A selected president versus an elected PM.

Education background as others have pointed out has nothing to do with political skills.

Its a gimmick to say the least.

How many times we are going to drum up the same old stuff?

It seems OP has just received this in mass e-mail floating around for months.

Impress me..with your intelligence and wit. :-)
