It is very sick but pales with comaprison to 470 Talibans fleeing Kanduz killed by hardcore taliban and Pakistanis. It is amazing how these Afghans are being butchered by Arabs and Paksitanis. Many of these defecting talibans are fighting alongside with NA guys. I am sure they understand now how their country was taken for a ride by Osama and ISI thugs.
BTW the guy in above picture does not look like a Afghan. That might explain the anger of NA soldiers.

I don't know why Americans are unable to understand that the words like "support" and "aid" takes a complete new meaning in the American Foreign Policy. For example "support" means supporting the dictators and authoritarian regimes coz it suits them.

so essentially if I am a normal afghani citizen, i am screwed either way. Now the question is, could we do something to make the life of innocent people better than it has been?

foot soldiers are just that, how many of them did not want anything to do with what Saddam was doing during desert storm, how many of the taleban soldiers did not want to follow everything their leadership wanted. and as horrible the regime was, it afforded a litle bit more security to people.

Now lets make this a bit more clear with an example, what if you as a kid saw war, soviet attack and then warlords going at it..
then you see Taleban take charge. you see some security for everyone you say well this is the best thing i have seen so far, and you join them..then your leadership gets in bed with al qaeda..decides it wants to fight it out...Now..atthis point you are damned if you do and damned if you dont. you try to surrender and other Taleban will kill you, supposing the news are right, if you dont surrender you die fighting, which you dont really want to do, if you do surrender you get the type of treatment that these pictures just showed. what do you do?

I do agree that Talebans killed their opponents especially Shiite Hazaras got the worst treatment. It was simply wrong but I strongly doubt anybody got any treatment like the one in the pictures. Northern Alliance are famous for their butchering techniques. Some of their commanders are ex-communist and the torture techniques used by them are reflective in their day to day life. For example General Dostum - an Uzbek warlord tied one person to the chain of the tank and asked tank to be driven around his place.
