I don't like the new films... they've totally b@$tardised the original concept

Oh yeah, that was BADASS! From the soundtrack to the characters, though they killed many bots back then to pave way for more toys on the shelves - more sales. Still, I loved the dinobots, Blur, Wreck Gar, and even Ultra Magnus. Random trivia, did you know that Leonord Nimoy (Spock) played Galvatron (Megatron's reincarnation) in that one?
p.s. did you guys realize sound wave was transferred into a geosynchronous satellite orbitting earth in this movie? that was cool.

Yes, I know that Leonard Nimoy played Galvatron in the 1986 movie. I've seen it so many times that I could probably name you the voice actors behind most of the new characters they introduced in that movie.
The (2007/2009) movie and the G1 continuity have nothing to do with each other. Aside from the 1986 movie, the continuity I liked the best was the Transformers Cybertron.

yes it is not a fmaily movie
.. a movie cannot be a family movie if a hot bodied male and a sexy female are not exploring the possibilities of starting a family by dancing in rain or doing aankh matakaa with each other

5/10 is quite an accurate description IMHO.
Life's a Mystery Yet to resolve, Joy's some where yet to discover
Mind's a universe yet to explore, Love's a sweet pain, for now and forever.

Definitely not better than the first one. It was too long and had way too many fight scenes. The action was good but too much of it ruined the movie. Also, a lot of utter crap scenes, that didnt need to be there. For example, the mother high running through the college was just stupid. I would rather have more of the Autobots on screen!
I think the concept was good and if they had spent more time developing the story instead of trying to get cheap laughs it would've turned out to be great.
btw, Bumblebee kicked butt big time! wasnt that the best part of the movie? lol
Oh loved the old Autobot. He was ACTUALLY funny.
I wouldn't call it a complete waste of time. If you have good hearing, where you can understand people talking over lots of noise, then go watch it.
