Oh yes there are 100s of desi dramas. No one in whole Asia can produce dramas like PTV has given to public.

If I start , it will be like never ending list of those dramas. I hardly remember that any serial was boring or we were less interested in. Each serial was a master piece at its place.

Alpah Bravo Charlie, Sunehray Din, Dhuwaan, Chand Grehan, Uljhan, Kasak, Tanhayaan, Dhoop Kinaaray, Aahat, Bandhan, An-kahi, Waris, Hawa ki Baitee, Andhera Ujala, Ababeel and then so many that came aftewards like theen bata theen, Bulandi, Mehndi ... hmmmm dont remember the names now.

Drama time wasalways 8pm-9pm. We all, including mom, would try to finish cooking etc by 8pm, so can watch the drama peacefully. And it was always like a family thing, we all would sit together and enjoy. When any drama would end, like last episode on air, we all would be so sad as God forbid what has happened. It would be like some family member leaving kind of feeling.

We kids never liked the Neelaam Ghar show .. lol

Oh I Miss the old times

We used to watch many Indian movies and some Pakistani movies. There were more Indian movies available back then. We didn't have a Pakistani channel yet. (I'm talking about Holland, in the 80's) Many years later we got Zee-tv for a while, then we also received Ptv and other Asian channels.

But before that, people who had been to Pakistan, lent us drama's that they had bought there, sometimes my parents liked them so much, they had them copied for our family. A few times my parents themselves visited Pakistan and bought dramas there themselves. We've actually seen more Pakistani dramay then Pakistani movies I think.

I still have one at home, which is 'Parosee'. I remember a friend gave us 'Urusa' which my parents had copied for themselves afterwards. 'Tanhayan' was aired on BBC if I remember well enough. What about dr. Emmer? What was the name of that drama? We also had 'Andheray dareechay', 'Sona Chandee', 'Awazain', etc. I remember one called 'Guest House' ("hello, my name is Rambo, John Rambo woi") There were so many nice dramay! I think in those days, Pakistani dramay were better than Pakistani movies.

When we received Zee-tv, we started watching Indian dramay too, and some of them were quite nice actually. I remember 'Amanat' and there was another one, a saas-bahu-daryani drama. There were funny shows as well.

We watched a lot of tv!

I remember Alf, the funny monster, no alien actually, from space. We watched that with the entire family.
