Paa tells the story of an intelligent and witty 13yr old boy, Auro (Amitabh Bachchan), who suffers from Progeria, an extremely rare genetic disorder wherein symptoms resembling aspects of aging are manifested at an early age.

Auro lives with his mother Vidhya (Vidya Balan), a gynaecologist. Amol Arte (Abhishek Bachchan) is Auro's father is a young politician full of ideals. He is out to prove to the world that 'politics' is not a bad world. The story revolves around the relationship between Amol and Auro.
